No Upfront Costs

Hiring an attorney can be prohibitively expensive. Lawyers charge high hourly fees and often require their clients to pay the cost of litigation upfront. Unfortunately, many victims of nursing home abuse and neglect cannot afford such expenses and would otherwise be financially unable to bring a lawsuit against a neglectful nursing home in Philadelphia or anywhere in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Nursing Home Abuse Attorney Brian P. Murphy understands this and allows his clients to hire him on a contingency fee agreement.

No Hourly Fee

Under a contingency fee agreement with The Law Firm of Brian P. Murphy, PC, you will not be charged an hourly fee and you will not be required to pay the costs of litigation upfront. All litigation costs are prepaid by Mr. Murphy’s firm. Moreover, you are only responsible for reimbursement for litigation costs and attorney’s fees if and when you resolve your nursing home abuse case either through settlement or by receiving an arbitration award or a trial verdict in your favor. This arrangement provides Mr. Murphy’s clients a fair and affordable way to litigate their nursing home abuse legal matters.

A Fully Funded Case

The Law Firm of Brian P. Murphy, PC’s contingency fee arrangement allows victims of nursing home abuse and neglect to have the benefit of a fully funded and properly resourced legal action against the wrongdoing from a nursing home in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Mercer, or any county within Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Nursing home abuse and neglect cases are complicated and rely on extensive attorney hours and the expertise of a number of medical professionals. The expenses needed to effectively and successfully litigate a nursing home abuse case can quickly add up. As one of Mr. Murphy’s clients, you can rest assured your case is fully funded to optimize your case’s chance of success.

Understanding Contingency Fees

Contingent fee agreements in Pennsylvania differ from those in New Jersey. Mr. Murphy will provide the appropriate agreement for you to review and then carefully explain certain clauses and answer any questions you may have. Assuming you decide to move forward with your PA or NJ nursing home abuse / neglect matter, Mr. Murphy will provide a copy of the signed agreement for your records.
